Offshore Wind Energy: With a potential exceeding 1,200 GW, Brazil is positioned to lead the global energy transition. Rio Grande do Norte, the national leader in onshore wind energy and known as the “land of winds”, will be the stage for this transformative gathering.
Green Hydrogen and Power-to-X: The key to reducing CO₂ emissions in hard-to-abate sectors. Brazil has the potential to produce the world’s lowest-cost green hydrogen, driving value-added transformation of raw materials for the export of green steel, low-carbon metal devices, nitrogen fertilizers, e-methanol, and much more.

PROGRAMME
The 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions were a success, with dedicated discussions on various aspects of Offshore Wind technology and Power-to-X technologies. In 2026, we are setting the stage for an even more inspiring and innovative event!
The objective is to highlight the potential of offshore wind and Power-to-X technologies for Brazil and foster discussions on energy policy and development strategies with a focus on six areas::
- Sectoral coupling between the energy sector and sustainable neo-industrialization;
- Lessons learned from pioneering countries;
- Development actions and plans;
- Infrastructure for offshore wind and Power-to-X products;
- Technological development and innovation in green products;
- Value chain and green industrialization.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Guidelines text:
Abstracts must be prepared in accordance with the official BOWPX template (access here). Submissions that do not strictly follow the model may be disregarded.
For submission through the form, it will be necessary to provide the complete details of all authors (full name and email), with a maximum of 6 authors allowed per abstract.
For submission, two PDF files of the abstract must be attached:
– one file with author identification (authors’ names and institutional affiliations);
– one file without author identification, intended for the blind review process.
Each file must be in PDF format, with a maximum size of 10 MB.
Papers may be submitted in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
Evaluation Criteria
Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers, following the peer review model. In the event of significant disagreement between evaluations, the paper will be forwarded to a third reviewer.
The evaluation will be based on three criteria:
– Novelty of the topic: assesses the contribution of the work to scientific, technological, and/or market development in the offshore wind energy and Power-to-X sectors, considering the originality of the proposal, its innovative potential, and its relevance to advancing the field.
– Technical quality and content consistency: considers the technical quality of the work, the adequacy and depth of the content, the coherence of the logical structure, as well as the methodological consistency and the soundness of the analyses and results presented.
– Clarity, organization, and scientific communication: evaluates the alignment between the title and the work’s proposal, the clarity and objectivity of the abstract, the consistency of the introduction (problem statement and objectives), the relevance of the theoretical foundation, the proper description of the method, the coherent presentation of results, the quality of the discussion, the appropriateness of the conclusions in relation to the findings, and the correct inclusion of references.
