Offshore Wind Energy: With a potential exceeding 1,200 GW, Brazil is positioned to lead the global energy transition. Rio Grande do Norte, the national leader in onshore wind energy and known as the “land of winds”, will be the stage for this transformative gathering.
Green Hydrogen and Power-to-X: The key to reducing CO₂ emissions in hard-to-abate sectors. Brazil has the potential to produce the world’s lowest-cost green hydrogen, driving value-added transformation of raw materials for the export of green steel, low-carbon metal devices, nitrogen fertilizers, e-methanol, and much more.

PROGRAMME
The 2023 and 2024 editions were a success, with dedicated discussions on various aspects of OFFSHORE WIND technology and POWER-TO-X technologies. In 2025, we are setting the stage for an even more inspiring and innovative event!
The objective is on conveying the potential of offshore wind and Power-to-X technologies for Brazil and discussing energy policy and development strategies with a focus on six areas:
- Sectoral coupling between the energy sector and sustainable neo-industrialization;
- Lessons learned from pioneering countries;
- Development actions and plans;
- Infrastructure for offshore wind and Power-to-X products;
- Technological development and innovation in green products;
- Value chain and green industrialization.
Instructions for extended abstract submission:
– Abstracts must follow the template provided by the event (download here).
– Submissions can be made in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
– Submitted abstracts will undergo evaluation by the scientific committee and may be selected for poster presentation and publication in the event proceedings.
– Abstracts must be submitted by March 30, 2025 (Extended until April 7, 2025).
– Results will be announced by April 7, 2025 (Extended until April 14, 2025).
ORGANIZATION
Developed in collaboration with European experts, the event is jointly organized by the CREATION Research Group of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), and the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (RN).
